Can typeSmart be used for teaching keyboarding or typing to school students under age 12?
Yes, providing the teaching is directed and supervised by a teacher familiar with typeSmart.
Children who are left to learn the keyboard by themselves without proper instruction tend do invent their own Key-Finger Groups, usually not the optimum ones.
However, it only takes an hour or two to learn the correct Key-Finger Groups, using typeSmart.
Also, the Custom Sessions module can be used to combine spelling lists with keyboard practice.
