Is typeSmart designed for the QWERTY standard industry keyboard?
Yes. The standard
industry keyboard that 99.9% of computers have is called the ‘QWERTY’
keyboard because the first six keys of the second top row are
"Q W E R T Y".
The QWERTY was designed around the early
1900s to SLOW down typists to avoid jams of the mechanical levers of
the old-fashioned typewriters. Also, it was designed so that about
three-quarters of syllables were typed with the left hand, perhaps to
allow typists a free hand to send the carriage back at the end of each
line.
This means the left hand is much more active, but on the modern computer the right hand is now free to use the mouse.
