Are there any disadvantages to the Direct Reach method compared with the Home Keys technique?
No, none at all. However, we find that those who have learned some
typing using the old-fashioned Home Keys technique are concerned that
they will not know how to place their hands relative to the keyboard.
They think they HAVE to rest their fingers on the Home Keys. With due
respect, this is a mind-set.
It is not an issue for those who have only ever learned Direct Reach.
