My virus scan program has identified a trojan in your software!

Apparently there is a trojan file that happens to use the same name as one of the setup files in our suite.

We use software called Setup Factory by a company named Indigo Rose for setting up typeSmart.
Setup Factory creates files named

  • irsetup.exe
  • irsetup.dat
  • irsetup.ini
  • irsetup.exe-0095C798.pf (the numbers may vary)

The .pf file is placed in Windows/Prefetch. (pf stands for 'prefetch')
These files are placed in your Local Settings/Temp folder then deleted on reboot.
They exist only for the purpose of installing typeSmart on your machine.

Unfortunately, hackers have used a similar name for their file, possibly deliberately, because Setup Factory is a popular and widely used program. Therefore, various anti-viral programs have put those files on their "bad" list.

This may explain why your system objects in some way.
