Can I run typeSmart on a net-booted setup from a Mac OSX server so that multiple users can use typeSmart on Macs without hard-disks?

In this setup, the typeSmart and other applications reside on the server and are served to the client as files and run in the memory of the client. Extensions such as speech, sound and Quicktime, and preference files in theory should not be a problem.

Thus we are 99% certain there will be no problems with this, providing the speed capacity of the network is adequate, and permissions are not an issue, both of these being beyond our control. The best way is to know is to download the demo and try the particular setup you are expected to use.

Of course, you need to have a site licence for such an arrangement before you start the students.
