The sound does not work!

First do a couple of basic checks to see that sound is working properly on your PC.
Please check that:

1. you have a sound card installed
2. the sound card is seated firmly in its socket
3. you have sound turned on in your Control Panel.
4. your speakers are turned on.
5. you can hear sound when you play a music CD in your CD drive
